About Francisco Lindor
Francisco Miguel Lindor Serrano (born November 14, 1993, in Caguas, Puerto Rico), affectionately known as “Mr. Smile,” is a professional baseball shortstop for the New York Mets. Selected 8th overall by the Cleveland Indians in the 2011 MLB Draft, he made his Major League debut on June 14, 2015. Renowned for his exceptional defense and switch-hitting prowess, Lindor earned four All-Star selections and two Gold Glove Awards with Cleveland. In January 2021, he was traded to the Mets and signed a 10-year, $341 million contract extension. In 2023, Lindor joined the 30-30 club — recording 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in a single season.
